Types of Lace Wigs: Are You Investing In The Right One For You?

Today we’re going to talk about the different lace wigs and their features!

When shopping for a lace wig it is important to know which one works for you. Can affordability and comfort both be satisfied in a single purchase? With a little research you can make that investment pay you over and over. So where do you start? Right here, where I’ll show what you need to be looking for in your next purchase!

There are 3 main types of lace wigs:

Full Lace Wigs are the most versatile type of wig.

They are 100 % hand tied meaning each strand is individually tied to the lace material giving your wig a more natural undetectable appearance.

Full Lace Wigs can be styled just like your own hair. They can be parted anywhere and worn in a high ponytail or an up-do.

Examples of Full Lace Wig Cap constructions are featured below.

The full lace cap pictured above is made with a stretch panel. This cap has a stretch lace material at the crown which gives you more room for your own hair and more comfortable fit.

The full lace cap pictured above is a full lace cap that has a stretch panel that stretches from ear to ear and has elastic around the ears. This is ideal for those of you who do not want to glue the wig down around your ears.

The second type of lace wigs are perfect for the woman who wants the versatility of a Full Lace Wig without the application of glue.

Just like Full Lace Wigs, Glueless Full Lace Wigs are made with hair that is individually hand tied to the lace material.

The come with adjustable straps and or combs. This allows you to secure your wig without glue.

Glueless Full Lace Wigs can also be parted anywhere, tied in a low ponytail or worn in an up-do.

The biggest advantage of the Glueless Full Lace Wig is that its fast and easy to apply. Observe how quickly and easily you can change your look:

Simply trim the excess lace.

Adjust the straps if needed and place it over your wig cap.

The last type of lace wig is a Lace Front Wig which is a great option for women on a budget.

As the name suggests Lace Front Wigs are made with lace only in the front part of the wig.

The lace front area is made with hairs individually hand tied to the lace which gives it a realistic hairline. Most lace front wigs on the market have only 1 inch of lace but if you purchase a wig with up to 3.5 inches of lace which allows for a longer and more natural looking part you’ll get more versatility.

The rest of wig is machine wefted.

The adjustable straps and combs allow for the Lace Front Wigs to be worn with or without adhesive.

Lace Wigs are designed to provide a more natural and undetectable wig appearance. Although it may be a large out of pocket expense initially, lace wigs are a longer lasting option to weaves and closures for example. If cared for correctly, a lace wig may last you 1-3 years, while a weave and closure including the cost of a stylist to sew -in the weave, will last you about 2 – 3 months for the same cost.

Lace Wigs are truly an investment but if you purchase your lace wigs from us and provide the proper care, it’ll be well worth the investment you make in yourself!
